What do we do in the off season in the wedding biz?
Styled shoots galore!
Styled shoots are a chance for us to realize our own visions of bridal perfection, exercise our creativity and have some fun. More importantly, they let you see another side of our talent and hopefully get your creative juices flowing to help your wedding be everything you imagine.
Tuscan Winter Wedding at Faith Hope and Charity Vineyards in Terrebone, OR.
It was November, and although it hasn't snowed yet, the wind was brutal. Our amazing model, Lisa, was so cold she was crying. I dabbed at the edges of her eyes and told her to keep them shut until the photographer was ready to shoot (What a trooper). Luckily, the tasting room at Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards had a steaming pot of mulled wine to thaw her out, and hey, at least the wind added beautiful movement to the dress and flowers in the photos.
Winter themed mini shoot at Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte, OR.
December came with some snow and a styled "mini-shoot" (only a bride and no staging elements, such as a dessert table or furniture). There was a last minute dress change from white to cream as the photographer feared a white dress would be lost in the fresh snow on the ground. I loved styling our model, Bec. She has natural curly hair and I gave her a classic natural face with a brick red lip. She rocked the session and the photos turned out so beautiful. Don't you agree?
I am planning my own winter themed shoot featuring a beautiful black horse in the snow, stay tuned for that coming in the next month or so, and don't forget to come see us at the Cascades Wedding show on 1/14 in beautiful Bend, OR.
Special thank to everyone who worked on these shoots!
